Waterlily Series

The theme of water runs through most of my work. I love the fluid, reflective surfaces and how they hint at the depths below and the world above.

I have been working on a series of waterlily ponds in Israel, mainly in the Jerusalem botanical garden, but also smaller ponds dotted around the urban landscape of Tel Aviv. The painting with the least foliage, “Waterlilies”, was done in the midst of bustling Tel Aviv, with skyscrapers in the background. I like to blot that all out and just tune into the pool of Nature’s peace
